4 Easy Steps To A Positive Mindset

Positive Affirmations

Every day you wake up, start with a positive affirmation such as “Today is going to be a great day”, or ” I can’t wait to change someones life today” or “I am simply awesome, smart, beautiful, intelligent”. Understand and feel the emotion as you set your intention.

Setting up your intention sets your mood for the day. To increase the effectiveness, I would even do this looking into the mirror staring at myself. At first I was a bit hesitate, but I challenged my self to do it for 30 days, and sure as day light, my perception of myself and my own abilities grew 10 folds.

Focus on the Good

Other practical things you can apply into your daily mindset is to focus your thinking on good things only. Find humour in any negative things you may have in your life. Remind yourself that everything is temporary and this too shall pass. AND chances are your probably going to make a joke of it someday and laugh about in the future anyways.

Focus on breath

If you find your mind chatting away like its never going to stop, take a moment to reconnect with your breath and centre your self. Ask your self where you feel the tension. Is it something you can control? You may not control the situation, but you can control your perspective and how you look at it determines the reaction you can give it. Focusing on breath also brings your mind and body back to the present.  Most negative thoughts come from past experience, which can tend to lead to anxiety. Which is not a pleasant place to be in. Be present, be in the now. 

Find Positive Friends

Surround your self with people who lift you up and look for your best interest. Steer away from the “nay” sayers and do what feels right and comfortable for you. Often people will put you down due to their own insecurities. Stay positive and you may even try to interrupt them and comment back with a positive compliment.


You can apply these easy to use strategies anywhere any time. Positive thinking offers compounding returns. The more you apply your self to be positive, the more positive situations and people you will attract 🙂
